What are DUO and Microsoft (MS) Authenticator?

IU Health uses the DUO and MS Authenticator mobile applications and traditional login credentials to provide additional identity verification. Access to resources will be granted upon successful validation of the credentials and acceptance of the mobile push notification.

In May 2023, MS Authenticator replaces DUO as the multi-factor authentication solution for IU Health applications. During this transition, IU Health team members must register both DUO and MS Authenticator to ensure they have access to IU Health systems, resources, and applications.

You will receive a push notification to your mobile device to authenticate after you have completed registration.
